The Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, Cultnat, in Cairo affiliated to Bibliotheca Alexandrina, hosts a photography exhibition: “Sea of Wonders” By: Canoë Segeren & Mark Doherty from Sharm.
Canoë Segeren & Mark Doherty are two photographers who share a passion for the underwater world and are living in Sharm since many years. Their work intends to "show the beauty that lies beneath the surface of the seas in the hope of creating an awareness of a fragile and threatened eco-system."
Canoë was born in the Netherlands and has been living in Egypt since 2002. Mark is from the UK and followed in 2005. Since the beginning, both of them have been working as diving instructors in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
Having instant access to some of the richest coral reef in the world enables them to have an ongoing flow of inspiration, which translates itself into a wide variety of images.
