Fuel is highly subsidized in Egypt (current price 1.85 LE/l fuel 92 octane).
It is said that the price will go up to 6-8 LE/l.
The plans are to ration the cheap fuel it provides before it cuts energy subsidizes altogether.
A fuel card will be implemented which will allow the private consumer to buy up to 1000l/ car for the current subsidized price.

The site is in Arabic only, so foreigners will need to obtain the help of arabic speakers.
It is not said when this new system will be implemented.
