Despite summer heat and summer holidays Sharmers once again came together for the monthly Clean Up - this time truly a giant task. For the second time Rowesat was targeted; the terrain between the residential and the Industrial area proved to be a real gargantuan enterprise.  Many residents from the houses on the right and the workshops on the left apparently use the vast open place between them as a garbage dump. Egypt will change to summer time in the night of Thurday, 23 April to Friday 24 April. The daytime saving will be until 24/25 September, when we return back to normal time. However, the date might vary because Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims, is taken into consideration. Enjoy the long evenings.

The Copt and the Orthodox communities in Sharm celebrate Easter. The Easter Mass took place Saturday night, 18 April, at the Coptic Cathedral in Hai Nour. In regular times the church offers every Saturday an english mass from 8:30-10:00am. English Bible readings are every Sunday from 8:00-9:30pm.   Russian mass is on request. A monk from Cairo will come to Sharm.
