A friend of mine will be arriving in Sharm next week and cooking for her Egyptian husband.
She has asked me for some suggestions and recipes of what to cook for pre dawn dinner but as I have a European husband don't know what to suggest.
Can anyone offer some ideas, recipes or a good website for her to look at?
Thanks & Ramadan Kareem

As far as I can tell you by experience with my husband, they don't cook for Suhur. They usually eat natural yogurt, some bread, white cheese (not salty), tomatoes, sometimes boiled eggs and for sure foul and some not so sweet juice or Ark el Sousse. They avoid any sweets or salty foods, since it would make them thirsty.

Have to agree with Daniela, Sohor is rather a light meal with cooked eggs etc.
If she wishes to cook for the friends she should think of an Iftar at sunset. Plenty of dishes are served. If more help needed just let us know...
