I have been considering moving back to Sharm el Sheikh.

Can someone give me an idea about what basic salary to expect, for a bilingual italian/english operator in a reservations office or as a secretary.

I see that the rents in Sharm are similar to the rents in Italy so could that mean a basic wage is approximately Euro 1000 - 1200 per month ??

This is a very difficult issue.... Salaries vary a lot these days. Some Hotels offer jobs for 300 - 400 EUR (accommodation and food provided) and there are plenty of people who accept such jobs.

Diving centers pay better than Hotels, but they mostly do not provide accommodation.

Jobs of 1000 - 1200 Euro start to get rare... That is at least the impression I get. May be I am wrong.

Of course there are also very well paid jobs, but those are difficult to find, as mostly it seems they do not want highly qualified staff, but the cheaper the better.
